Panasonic to Bring Toughpad Smartphones for Corporate Clients

Panasonic Corporation hit this year’s Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona with two gadgets manifesting the company’s return to the smartphone market: two rugged Panasonic headsets – TOUGHPAD FZ-E1 and TOUGHPAD FZ-X1 – that are aimed at corporate clients rather than retail consumers gadgets in Pakistan. The both mobiles boast thick armour, a huge accumulator (6200 mAh!) and excellent characteristics. Hence the considerable size of the handsets: 165x87x31mm.


The new Panasonic’s brainchildren are an expansion of the company’s Gadgets in Pakistan Tough-pad brand (the company inroduces rugged tablets a year ago).
The handsets feature five-inch 720p screens and are three centimeters thick – they are water resistant, can operate under what seems extreme conditions for other smartphones (temperatures varying from minus 20 to 60 degrees celsius; the ) and survive a fall from an up to three meters’ Gadgets in Pakistan.
  • The TOUGHPAD FZ-E1 model runs on Windows Embedded 8 Handheld and features a 2.3Hz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip while TOUGHPAD FZ-X1 has a 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4.
  • There will be just 40,000 units manufactured yearly, each item gadgets in Pakistan to have a price tag of about $1,300.
  • TOUGHPAD FZ-E1 is reported to be launched in the middle of June and TOUGHPAD FZ-X1 is expected to hit the market later in August.
